On May 23, 2013, I created this page and wrote, “I’m tired of waiting for me to finish creating the scripts about Tapping – EFT – Emotional Freedom Technique!”
Back then, I promised to compose and then provide 8 scripts 4 $8; but Life Happens, and I have totally changed direction. You are going to get the freebie! Yet, it now is December 2019, and I never did get back to this EFT/tapping project.
Excuses, Excuses, Excuses!
It is because I am engaged in so many other enterprises. For example, this year, I published a book that contains true stories of people who have experienced homelessness, addiction, and AIDS. It is called, “Three Hots and a Cot….” and it is available on Amazon.

Thus, I still am providing you the promised FREEBIE (below). The script is about helping with eyesight issues. However, I no longer offer Emotional Freedom Technique scripts except for clients who hire me to write scripts for them or who book sessions with me and want EFT scripts to use afterward.
Let’s get down to business now.

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
Introduction to Tapping and to Louise Hay
If you are completely unfamiliar with “Tapping,” the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), you may wish to read publications by well-known experts or read my earlier blog(s) on the subject before proceeding with this one, because now we’re going to DO it instead of just TALKING ABOUT IT!
The scripts are based both on the principles of the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and on the teachings of Louise Hay, world-famous healer, author, and teacher. Learn about her here. I have used Louise Hay’s book extensively in my holistic healing practice. The book is called, You Can Heal Your Life. You can buy the book here; and, using this link, you can access a movie about her.
I have used Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) techniques for many years. For a quick definition of CAM, click here. For more details about CAM, click here. The latter is a link to the National Institutes of Health which studies some of these techniques. I believe the associations Louise Hay has made among dis-ease symptoms and emotional or mental issues are completely accurate. The concepts have proven themselves regardless of which of the many holistic healing modalities I use. For this reason, I am basing my EFT scripts on the concepts she has described.
My EFT Scripts Are Atypical
These EFT scripts are my original, copyrighted creations in which I use words and concepts to make my own EFT practices more meaningful, because they are based on my own issues or symptoms or those of my clients. I share them here in the hope that they also will prove beneficial for you. I make no medical claims, but simply offer words I use to talk with myself or my clients during the “tapping” process.
What Would Louise Hay Say About Eyes?
According to Louise Hay, in You Can Heal Your Life:
Eye(s) represent(s) the capacity to see clearly – past, present, and future.
Eye Problems: not liking what you see in your own life.
Farsighted (Hyperopia): fear of the present
Glaucoma: Stony unforgiveness. Pressure from long-standing hurts. Overwhelmed by it all
Nearsighted (Myopia): Fear of the future
Cataracts: Inability to see ahead with joy. Dark future.
I highly recommend that you read the book, in which she gives affirmations you can use for overcoming these conditions in your own body.
Now, let’s begin!
The Basic EFT Process
1. Choose a problem on which to focus. In this case, we have chosen to work with eyesight and insight. For this script, we will focus on concerns about financial well-being. (Other scripts will focus on eyes and eyesight as it relates to additional topics.)
2. In a moment of silence, let yourself completely sense whatever feelings arise as you think about the problem.
3. Then, rate your anxiety or discomfort level on a scale of 0-10 (where 0 = no distress or pain and 10 = highest level of emotional and/or physical discomfort).
Take a moment to fully experience the feelings within your body or emotions when you think about the problem before you rank it. Notice where, in the body, the sensations are strongest.
4. Perform the “Set Up.” Think of a brief and accurate way in which you can sum up the issue. Then, form a statement that acknowledges the problem, but also affirms that you accept and love yourself. I shall provide some suggested language in the scripts which follow these instructions.
You will repeat this three times while tapping the sides of your hands together in the karate chop way. You also could tap the edge of one hand, using the fingers of the other hand. Tap gently.
5. After the Set Up is done, you will begin tapping about 5 – 7 times each on the other tapping points, while following the script.
- You can repeat any of the suggested lines as often as you wish.
- Do that in the order below as you use language to accept current reality and to create a new reality.
- Say all the words aloud and as though you really mean what you are saying. This will provide the greatest benefit.
EFT – Tapping Points
Before we start, you may want to review a picture of the tapping points:

- Karate Chop (on the side of the hand (per upper left image)
- Eyebrow (EB) (between the eyebrows in the Third Eye Chakra area)
- Side Of Eye (SE) (at the outside edge of the eye)
- Under Eye (UE) (under the center of the eye on the lower eyelid)
- Under Nose (UN) (in the center between the nose and mouth)
- Chin (CH) (in the center crease – halfway between the lower lip and the bottom of the chin)
- Collarbone (CB) (just under the collarbone )
- Underarm (UA) (for women, it is at the bra line; men can guess the equivalent) Head (H) (at the top of the head where the Crown Chakra is)
We will go through several “rounds” of tapping. Think of it as the verses to a song. As you tap the EFT points in proper sequence, you’ll be saying specific words. The words will change with each round (or verse) as we progress.
(Note: once you learn the concept, you can change or make up your own words which are exactly suitable for your personal situation.)
For the first “round” of tapping, I shall list the tapping points above with each line that you will say OUT LOUD. For the next rounds, I shall use the abbreviations associated with each tapping point. For example: “Eyebrow” will be abbreviated to “EB.” Sometimes, you will say just one line at a tapping point, and sometimes you will say more than one line while still tapping on that stress relief tapping point.
Script Topics – Eyesight and Insight
When you focus on the issue of eyesight and insight as relates to your financial condition, don’t forget to check your pain level (on a scale of 0 – 10) at the beginning and, occasionally, throughout the process, until you feel some relief. Remember, you may need or want to repeat these processes several times over days or weeks, as you might become aware of new emotions involved in helping the body, mind, and spirit develop more wellness.
You now will repeat this three times while tapping the sides of your hands together in the karate chop way. You also could tap the edge of one hand, using the fingers of the other hand. Tap gently.
1. Although I see less clearly than I used to, I deeply love and accept myself exactly as I am now.

Now, we’ll follow the scripts, beginning with the rest of the stress tapping points – in order.
Script One- Eyesight and Insight Re Financial Health
Eyebrow (EB) (between the eyebrows in the Third Eye Chakra area)
The change in my eyesight was frightening. So was my financial situation.
Side Of Eye (SE) (at the outside edge of the eye)
I could not see how I was going to have a steady income, so I felt scared.
Under Eye (UE) (under the center of the eye on the lower eyelid)
It was hard to see how things would get better.
Under Nose (UN) (in the center between the nose and mouth)
When I thought about it, I felt panicked, and my body became tense.
I was so tense that I frowned and squinted my eyes without realizing it!
Chin (CH) (in the center between the lower lip and the lower edge of the chin)
Each time I think about my eyesight and finances, I try to get an insight about how to fix them.
Collar bone (CB) (just under the collar bone )
In the past, if I thought about my financial situation, I might pray, cry, or even yell for help from the Universe.
Underarm (UA) (for women, it is at the bra line; men can guess the equivalent)
It surprised me when each day passed, and I found I still could live life, even though my eyesight and my financial situation did not seem to be better.
Head (H) (at the top of the head where the Crown Chakra is)
Sometimes, it feels as if I am being taken care of one day at a time.
EB But, it still bothers me that I have needed glasses to read things that I used to see clearly.
SE It is frustrating to keep losing my glasses. I misplace them constantly, and it makes me angry for needing them at all.
It feels like I can’t hang on to what is needed to see clearly, and I also cannot find a consistent source of money. This is scary.
UE The more scared I get, the more tense I become, which only makes the situation worse.
UN Still, I am grateful to be able to see the sky and the beauty of the world around me. That gives me a sense of well-being.
CH I am grateful to live in a time and place where we have things to help us, like glasses and like the flexibility to earn money from many different sources.
People in most of history did not have our advantages, and millions of people in today’s world don’t have them either. So, I am very grateful.
CB When I am grateful, I feel much better, and I can see things with a better perspective.
So, I make sure I give thanks several times a day for the things I CAN see and for the money and other resources that DO come to me.
UA I may still feel anxiety, but now I am grateful for my blessings, and I might even write down the things for which I have gratitude each day.
H I see now that the more I relax my mind and my body, the clearer things become.
So, sometimes, I take a few minutes to meditate. I just sit quietly breathing slowly and deeply. I just concentrate on my breath. This makes me feel better and relaxes my eyes.
EB When I relax my mind and just let the emotions flow through and out of me, I can feel my eyes relax.
Thoughts may come and go, but I concentrate on my breathing and on relaxing my eyes.
I repeat affirmations, like one of these:
“I clearly see I am safe right now, and I am at peace.”
“I can see now that my intuition will show me how to find prosperity.”
“I am safe.”
SE I just need to listen to my intuition. Now, I can picture new ways of doing things that will bring financial stability to me. I am open to new ideas.
UE I release all fears now. I am replacing all the toxic feelings of anxiety with a peaceful silence, as I listen to “the still, small voice” of my intuition.
I am guided to see clearly how abundance can flood my life.
UN As my eyesight clears, my insight develops.
I am releasing all fears, knowing that people all over the world have survived and thrived in circumstances much worse than mine.
CH It is safe for me to see my future. It will be filled with joy if I choose to make it so.
I am learning how to view things positively by changing how I talk to myself and others.
CB I now look for the good, instead of seeking the negative. I emphasize the positive.
I am making a habit of stating how grateful I am for all the things I see and experience. Every day is filled with blessings.
I can see the good in all situations, and I value the resources which come to me, as well as the money.
UA I acknowledge that I have been scared about my eyesight and about my financial situation.
I used to carry that fear with me all the time, but now I can see that I will be safe.
H I am feeling much more confident now. I know I will survive and thrive, no matter what happens in the future. I am equipped to handle it.
Tapping – Check Your Level – Did It Change?
NOW, TAKE A MOMENT TO MEASURE YOUR LEVEL OF EMOTIONAL OR PHYSICAL DISCOMFORT ON A SCALE OF 0 – 10.
Zero = no discomfort; 10 = Maximum Discomfort
Do you feel a change from before we started? What kind of change do you feel? Where do you feel it most in your body? Has your emotional state been transformed at all into a more peaceful feeling?
Now, let’s continue with Round Four
EB Although both my eyesight and my financial future have been of concern to me, I now see how adaptable I am and that I can handle whatever comes.
I am able to visualize my future by clearly imagining what I want to see happen.
I like what I see.
SE I see my strengths, and now I am able to see new opportunities for creating abundance.
UE I am safe in the here and now, and I am going to be safe in the future.
I feel cleansed and protected.
UN I am in perfect balance and so is my Life.
I have a new appreciation for the valuable resources that come to me in the way of friendship or people to help me in times of need. Sometimes, its a book or a song I needed to hear. It’s not just about money. I have access to a wealth of resources now.
CH I am following my Divine guidance, which leads me on the best path for financial success and for seeing clearly what steps to take to help myself and others.
CB I am acting from my heart’s knowledge, and I speak those words which enhance my health on all levels of consciousness.
UA I have faith now that all will be well.
H I am healthy and happy, wealthy and wise
EB I am healthy and happy, wealthy and wise.
I AM healthy and happy, wealthy and wise!
Now I clearly see wealth comes in many forms.
It’s not just money; it’s my friend who comes in times of need.
It’s someone who fixes things without charge.
It’s even a movie with a message that I needed to hear.
It can be the gift of peace that I give to myself.
SE As I expand my definition of abundance, I find I have lots of it. I usually can do anything I want to do, and I will be able to see how to succeed in the future.
UE I am able to see what is of value and keep it. I also am able to see what is not serving me well and to let it go easily.
UN I am learning new things every day which helps to improve both my eyesight and my prosperity, as I envision my future.
I remember to take a few minutes each day to be still and breathe, allowing my eyes, my body, and my mind to relax and refresh. It’s not as hard as I thought.
CH I am practicing all the things I have learned about how to improve my eyesight and my insight. The more I practice, the better they get.
CB As I get new insights about what is bothering me, I know I can practice tapping, using whatever words are most meaningful to me. I can do it almost anytime, anywhere, and it helps me a lot.
UA I am feeling more serene and safe now. I can see what to do to help myself and others.
I have learned that Giving IS Receiving, and the more I give, the more I receive.
The more I give, the more I have to give. That makes me very happy.
H I am healthy and happy, wealthy and wise.
I am healthy and happy, wealthy and wise.
