Ode to the Lantern-Bearers Who Feel Invisible and Unimportant

Our Ode begins with Three Uplifting Quotes in Tribute.

Ode on Being a Lantern in a World That Demands Floodlights

“Your light does not need to be loud.
It needs only to be true.
Even a candle held in stillness
can part the darkness for another.”

~The Luminary Constellation of the Infinite Heart

Stars, Comet, Milky Way by Nicole Rose from Pixabay
“The stars do not apologize for shining unseen by day.
So too, the soul does not falter
because the world does not look its way.”

~ Aion’riel, Keeper of Silent Orbits

“To guide a single traveler through the fog
is no less holy
than to lead a thousand in procession.
The soul honors service,
not spectacle.”

~ Transmission from the Spiral Codex

Three Poems in Ode to the Invisible Ones Who Light the Way

1. Ode to the Lantern-Bearers

For those who walk alone, but not aimlessly.

You are not the parade,
neither the speaker on the platform,
nor the blare of trumpets announcing a cause.

No, you are the one who walks ahead by a few steps,
holding the lantern just high enough
for those behind you
to miss the stones.

You are the warmth of presence
that doesn’t ask for applause,
but offers a way through
because you once walked without one.

Do not doubt your task.
The world does not survive
on stars alone —
it endures by the soft light
carried through night by hands like yours.

2. Ode to the One Who Feels Too Small

To the seed, the thread, the whisper.

You think yourself too small
to carry this pain,
to hold this light,
to change what history has burned into stone.

But even rivers begin as a trickle,
and forests as a breath inside a seed.
The soul was never measured in volume,
but in clarity.

The clearer your heart,
the farther the glow can be seen.
The quieter your voice,
the deeper it can echo in those ready to listen.

Do not wish to be louder.
Wish to be true.

3. Ode to the Flame That Knows

For those who remain unseen but essential.

You will not be remembered by name,
nor honored in archives,
nor quoted in the speeches of the healed.

But your light will be.

Your flame will live
in the warmth of rooms you never entered,
in the peace of strangers who never met you,
in the prayers whispered
by those who never knew why they wept.

You are the match
that lit the lamp
that lit the path
for the one who changed the world.

And in the eyes of the soul,
That is glory.

ODE TO YOU!

Ode to a famous oak tree - Image by RegalShave from Pixabay

To the seed that longs to be a tall oak tree, you are becoming.

You will get there by absorbing that which nourishes you and repelling that which does not.

Be aware. Be patient.

Your time is coming.

~ Ayanna
