GUEST CONTRIBUTORS | MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT
Hi! I’ll send you the Guest Contributor application form if you would like to submit some of your work as a Guest Contributor on this website. (See items under The Occasional Poet for more details.) Below, I’m including everything that’s on the application form, so you can see – in advance – what it says and whether you want to participant.
I’m initiating this project in August 2021, and the service is FREE. If it becomes too time-consuming and cumbersome at a later date, I might need to charge a fee for posting people’s work. However, if you join me soon and become, in effect, a Charter Member, so to speak, you will be “grandfathered-in,” and I’ll continue to post your goodies, gratis, for as long as I run this project.
If, at some point, I need to charge a fee, I will let newcomers know here and will change the Memo of Agreement accordingly for those poets and writers.
Using the form ONLY, sign it and send your submissions to me at MyPersuasivePresentations@gmail.com. Put “Guest Contributor Entry” in the subject line. The signed form grants me permission to show your work on my site while you retain the copyright.
What Kinds of Writing Should You Submit?
Currently, I’m accepting submissions for #Haiku poetry, other kinds of poetry and short stories or descriptions, and #vss365 #prompt works. I’m pretty selective, but I’d love to share some SHORT works of poetry or prose written by people other than me! Hate speech, pornography, expressions of racism and other bigoted views, plus most political commentary will be excluded from this business website.
Who Can Be A Guest Contributor
Note: this opportunity is available to people of all backgrounds, races, religions, and levels of writing experience (<from zero to pro).
What’s In the Memo of Agreement for Guest Contributors?
- The author of any and all work submitted to My Persuasive Presentations, LLC retains the copyright for each piece, individually and collectively.
- By signing and returning this document, the author, who submits work to be evaluated for possible inclusion on the website, agrees that approved selections may be posted on MyPersuasivePresentations.com in the area for Guest Contributors.
- By submitting entries to this competition, one does NOT signify endorsement of anyone else’s products, services, or viewpoints. This is intended to be a showcase of great writers’ work.
- The person submitting work must read and agree to the criteria, terms, and conditions.
Required: By submitting the following writing poetry and/or prose, I hereby agree to allow Nancy Wyatt, Owner, My Persuasive Presentations, LLC, to post whatever selections she approves on her website MyPersuasivePresentations.com, with credit to me as the author and with credit to the originator of any images that are used.
Optional: By submitting the following writing poetry and/or prose, I hereby agree to allow Nancy Wyatt, Owner, My Persuasive Presentations, LLC, to post whatever selections she approves – with credit to me as the author and with credit to the originator of any images that are used – on the website MyPersuasivePresentations.com. In addition, I hereby grant her permission to share those same selected items on social media with credit to me as the author and with credit to the originator of any images that are used. How to Submit Entries
Using this form only (so that I have your signature giving me permission to share your work), fill out the information and include FROM ONE TO FIVE SHORT works that you would like to submit as entries.
PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR NAME, EMAIL ADDRESS, AND HASHTAGS DESIGNATING THE TYPE OF ENTRY for EACH INDIVIDUAL SUBMISSION YOU WANT ME TO EVALUATE FOR INCLUSION ON MY WEBSITE.
I ask that so that I do not have to type in information for everyone’s submissions and can simply copy and paste your entries if they are approved. Failure to follow instructions probably will result in my not reading the work.) REMEMBER: if you want me to share it on Twitter with credit to you, you must keep the entry within the number of characters that Twitter allows – including the hashtags. See example.
This is an example of a poem that could be submitted under “Haiku” poetry – that has its own page on my website – or under #vss365 #prompt writings, which also has its own page for Guest Contributors. Tell me under which category you want me to evaluate your work for inclusion.
