Creating Elevator Speeches
I hope some of you will take my Creating Persuasive Elevator Speeches class. This class is not just the normal instruction about “elevator speeches.” That takes only 5 minutes to describe. Creating Persuasive Elevator Speeches is a more in-depth guide on what to do and how to customize that kind of introduction for other occasions, such as when you are seated next to a stranger at a dinner party, or when you are riding the Metro/subway. You would use “elevator speeches” or “pitches” when you are trying to explain a business, a project, a fundraiser, or some other cause for which you hope to generate interest when you are talking to a stranger in a very limited amount of time. Here are some details.
What IS An “Elevator Speech?” (Wikipedia)
An elevator pitch, elevator speech or elevator statement is a short summary used to quickly and simply define a process, product, service, organization, or event and its value proposition.[1]….A value proposition is a promise of value to be delivered and acknowledged. It is also a belief from the customer how value (benefit) will be delivered and experienced. A value proposition can apply to an entire organization, or parts thereof, or customer accounts, or products or services.
Creating Persuasive Elevator Speeches is part of the “All You Need To Know About…” Series of Business and Basic Computer Skills Classes
