Why Put Poetry Into PowerPoints for Publication?
Many people enjoy watching videos more than reading. That is especially true during pandemic times and in the technology era when eyes become bleary and heads become achy from too much “screen time.” Also, many poets prefer “The Spoken Word,” They think poetry is to be experienced, using as many of the five senses as possible. Plus, PowerPoints can be converted easily to videos, so why not take the chance? Let’s create some PowerPoint Poetry for Publication!
As the owner of My Persuasive Presentations, LLC, I author so many kinds of writing! The projects usually are for business, classes and speeches, or for more traditional web content. I also provide script products and services. In addition, I am a book author. Thus, I am only an occasional poet, but I know how to teach you how to produce PowerPoint Poetry for Publication as Videos.

Poetry: From PowerPoint to Video

I’ve experimented and now can teach you. See a sample here.
Having thought of converting my poetry in this way, I chose this experiment (despite the head cold congestion which infuses my voice). I hope you enjoy this short video rendition of my poem, “The Tumbleweed ~ From the Rockies to the Shenandoah.” Your comments are welcome. Cheers!

You Have Options
We can learn via a one-on-one Zoom meeting, in which I “walk you through the steps” one time.
For your convenience, I also provide the instructions in a Word document to class participants.
In that circumstance, I charge by the hour, so we will organize as much as possible during the free, initial consultation and before the project starts.
If you already know how to use PowerPoint, it will be easy. If we’re starting from scratch, it still will be easy, but it will take longer.
Alternatively, you can purchase the step-by-step process in a Word document, as a less expensive option.
A third alternative is that you write the poetry and hire me to create the PowerPoints and conversions to video.
That could be “one-time-only,” or you could put me on retainer to do it over a prolonged time period.
